38th
Annual AABT Convention in
AABT
Events and Awards
Once again the room allotted for our annual meeting was
packed to capacity! Over 60 members attended and others were spilling out the
door. Needless to say, we will be requesting a larger room next year. Members
who could attend were treated to research updates from five prominent SIG
member investigative teams. We thank Martin Franklin of the University of
Pennsylvania, Mikel Merritt and Ashley Smith of the
University of Nebraska-Lincoln, (representing Heidi Inderbitzen-Nolan),
Lynn Miller of the University of British Columbia, Jill Ehrenreich
of the Center for Anxiety and Related Disorders and
Boston University, and Tracy Morris of West Virginia University.
We extend special gratitude to Peter Muris
of Erasmus University, Rotterdam for providing the keynote address entitled, The Developmental Psychopathology of Anxiety.
